Kevin Martin to leave FCC on January 20
The FCC Chairman has made it official: He will resign his position as Chair of the Federal Communications Commission on January 20, the day Barack Obama is inaugurated as president.
Martin will be joining the Aspen Institute, a nonpartisan think tank, according to the AP. Many have speculated that there's a run for office in his future. Whatever he does, it's not too likely that he'll be missed by many at the FCC—his reign there resulted in a "poisonous" and politicized work environment, according to a Congressional investigation conducted last year.
